Come home for the holidays this Christmas

Our hearts long for “home” during the holiday season. Yet, the longing is even deeper than revisiting our childhood memories or seeing a distant relative. And our longing will never truly be fulfilled with more money or material goods.

The Christmas story helps us see that our deepest longing for home is fulfilled in the manger and the child. In the birth of Jesus we see a way to come home to the God we were made to know, and to God’s family. And the birth of Jesus invites us all to come home

Join our church family for a warm welcome this Christmas and find in the manger of Jesus an even warmer welcome to our forever home.

About Our Celebration of the Nicene Creed

This year marks the 1700th anniversary of one of the great creeds of the Christian faith – the Nicene Creed. We confess with the believers over the centuries the beauty of Christ’s nature and work:

Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made; Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven.

Learn more about the creed here and here.

The event: An all-ages Christmas service featuring carols, songs, and readings

Live music: Music not only in the service, but live music before and after the service

Treats: Join us in our backyard following the service for lights and hot chocolate

Ticketing: The event is free but ticketed so we can make sure we have sufficient seating

Childcare: Childcare will not be provided, but the services will be kid-friendly, and our nursing moms’ room will be open for use and have the service streaming to that room.

Listen to some of the Christmas songs we sing at Cross of Grace, written and recorded by our family of churches.

Our Giving Focus: Covenant Mercies

As we gather to celebrate the hope of Christ this Christmas, we also have the joy of extending that hope beyond our church walls. Every year, we highlight a ministry we support through our Christmas Giving Corner, and this year it’s Covenant Mercies. Founded in 2002, Covenant Mercies partners with indigenous churches in sub-Saharan Africa to provide Christ-centered care and educational support for orphaned children. Today, they serve more than 1,850 children across Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, and Liberia. Visit our Giving Corner or click the box below to see how you can partner with this ministry.
