Upcoming Events

Lunch with Pastor Vince Corpus
We’re excited to welcome Vince Corpus, a former pastor at Cross of Grace who is now planting a church in Prague, back with us on Sunday, August 3!
Vince will be preaching during both services, and after the second service, he’ll be hosting a lunch and sharing updates about the church plant and life in Prague.
Lunch will be provided, but we ask that you register here so we can have enough food.
Don’t miss this opportunity to reconnect with Vince and Kristi, hear what God is doing in Prague, and enjoy a meal together!

Growing Old Gracefully
"Growing Old Gracefully" is a Bible Study focused on finding strength, joy, and purpose in the later stages of life. Through weekly discussions, members explore biblical wisdom on aging, resilience, and faithfulness. The group emphasizes community, support, and gratitude, helping participants embrace the spiritual richness of growing older. Together, they seek God’s guidance for navigating the unique challenges and blessings that come with aging.

Wild West Members Meeting
Join us for our Members Meeting on Sunday, August 10 from 4:00–6:00 PM. We’ll have a short meeting where we’ll share important leadership, staff, and church updates and take time to honor faithful servants in our church family. And because it’s family time, we’ll wrap up the evening with fun and snacks in the backyard!
Childcare will be available during the meeting portion for kids up to 2nd grade.
We’d love for every member to be there, so make plans to join us!
Register here today and let us know you’re coming!

Alpha
What is Alpha? Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Each session looks at a different question that people can have about faith and is designed to create conversation. It’s an open, informal, and friendly place where individuals can explore their Christian faith at their own pace, get answers to their questions, and where honest opinions are welcomed and listened to. What does it look like? It's simple: food, a talk, and good conversation. So whether you're a Christian with questions or have a friend, coworker, or family member looking for answers, this course might just be the tool you need!
Some of the questions we will be looking at include:
Is There More To Life Than This?
Who is Jesus?
Why Did Jesus Die?
How Can We Have Faith?
Why and How Do I Pray?
Why and How Do I Read the Bible?
How Does God Guide Us?
How Can I Resist Evil?
Why and How Should I Tell Others?
Does God Heal Today?
What About the Church?
What is the commitment?
This semester’s Alpha will be held on Monday evenings, August 18–November 3, from 6:30–8:30pm at Julio’s Mexican Food in Horizon. There will also be one additional meeting on Saturday, October 18 from 9am-12pm.
What will each week look like?
Each week, you will enjoy a free meal, hear a short teaching and encouragement, and then meet in small groups where you will talk about the teaching and share life in an open and friendly, and no-pressure environment.

Love Your Church Conference
In a world that ignores, demeans, or crowds out the local church,we’re gathering to say loudly and boldly: We love the local church
The world calls the local church ugly, but Jesus calls it His bride (Rev 19).
The world calls the local church weak, but Jesus says He will build it with His power (Matt 16:18).
The world calls the local church irrelevant, but Jesus has been using it to turn the world upside down for 2,000 years (Acts 2).
The world calls the church optional, but Jesus says it is essential for the Christian and for His purposes (Eph 3).
How powerful could it be if Christians everywhere believed and lived this way?
Here’s why we started this conference from Ricky
After a string of negative news headlines about the church, and after seeing the way many Christians ignore the church, we decided to do something about it.
We know the church isn’t perfect. We know it’s always in need of changing to look like Christ. We know that we contribute our own faults and failures too.
But we believe the local church is the only thing in this world with Jesus promise behind it that it will prevail (Matt 16:18). Jesus loves the church. So should we.
We’re praying this small conference is a megaphone that rallies Christians across this region to love their local church — serving, giving, forgiving, and persevering. Because the local church is beautiful.
For more details about what is happening at this event, check out the conference website for information about the sessions, speakers, and schedule.

Carry the Fire - A Study of the Holy Spirit
Are you ready to deepen your walk with God by learning more about the Holy Spirit? Whether you're new to the topic or looking to go deeper, this study will inspire and equip you to carry the fire of the Holy Spirit into every part of your life.
Led by Pastor Chuck Mosely and based on Ricky’s book, Carry the Fire, this study will help you:
Grow in your understanding of who the Holy Spirit is.
Develop a deeper love for His work in your life.
Learn how to lean into the Spirit’s power in your everyday circumstances.
In this study, we’ll explore life-changing questions:
Who is the Holy Spirit?
How does the Spirit bring new life and regenerate our hearts?
How does the Spirit sanctify and bring real transformation?
How does the Spirit help us experience God's presence?
How does the Spirit empower us for mission and service?
How does the Spirit unify and build the church?
What gifts does the Spirit give—and how do we use them?

Pentecost Night of Worship
Knowing God Worship Night
One of the main roles of the Holy Spirit is to help us know and experience God himself. This Pentecost weekend we're going to spend an evening of worship and prayer around the topic of knowing God.
Join us as our worship team plays through the album "Knowing God" from Sovereign Grace Music -- an album from our family of churches on the the theme of J.I. Packer's classic book "Knowing God." Some songs are already familiar favorites. Others will become new favorites.
Childcare: No childcare, but children are welcome with families

Baptisms
Have you placed your faith in Christ, but have yet to be baptized? Throughout the New Testament people are hearing the gospel and responding by getting baptized. If you are a believer and have come to faith in Jesus Christ we encourage you to fulfill the biblical command to be baptized.

Alpha meets once a week, for 10 weeks, at the church with one additional meeting on a Saturday morning. Each weekday meeting lasts approximately 2 hours.
What will each week look like?
Each week, you will enjoy a free meal, hear a short teaching and encouragement, and then meet in small groups where you will talk about the teaching and share life in an open and friendly, and no-pressure environment.

GriefShare Meeting
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.
This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before.
“Going to GriefShare feels like having warm arms wrapped around you when you’re shivering.”
Our 13-Week GriefShare Group meets weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.
You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any session. Each is “self-contained,” so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will find encouragement and help whenever you begin. You can continue with GriefShare through the next 13-week cycle and view any of the videos you have not seen.
